General Information
Stormwater runoff is a natural part of the hydrological cycle, which is the distribution and movement of water between the atmosphere, land, and water bodies. Stormwater runoff is surface flow from precipitation that accumulates in and flows through natural or man-made conveyance systems during and immediately after a storm event. Natural conveyance systems are rivers, streams, brooks, wetlands, etc. Man-made conveyance systems are bridges, culverts, pipes, catch basins, etc. The links below have information on stormwater within the Town of Greenwich.
