The Greenwich Conservation Commission, directed by Denise Savageau, is an advisory board set up under State Statute and local ordinance to assist the Town with planning and management of its natural and cultural resources.
The Conservation staff works daily with Planning and Zoning, Inland Wetlands, Health, Parks and Recreation, Public Works and the Board of Selectmen's office and regularly attends meetings.
Commission members and staff serve as liaisons to numerous local, regional, and state environmental organizations including:

- Greenwich Green and Clean
- Mianus River Watershed Council
- Soundwaters
- Land Conservation Coalition of Connecticut
